Owner/Chef Favio Pillacela is a native of Ecuador. It gives me the opportunity and great pleasure to share with you my life’s passion of good food in the hospitality industry. I started working in restaurants at very young age in my home town. In 1994 when I was 16 years old moved to United States and since then I have not stop working in restaurants and making people happy with good food and service. Whose love of good food and professionally trained at the French Culinary Institute in New York City and Gateway Community College’s Culinary Arts and restaurant management Program, Favio’s expertise embraces Italian, French, and Continental cuisine.
He honed his skills as a chef at popular eateries in central Connecticut. In 2000, he accepted an offer at the Yankee Silversmith as Sous Chef, and a year later he became an executive chef and work there for another year. Shortly after, he was offer a Sous Chef position at San Souci Restaurant in Meriden and dozens of other fine dining restaurants in Connecticut.
Shortly thereafter he was invited to open Vespucci’s Restaurant in Cheshire as a Chef de Cuisine in November 2004 where he received top ratings and reviews. Favio moved to New Haven to work at top rated restaurants including the award winning Union League Café where he completed an externship. After finishing studying culinary arts, restaurant management and working alongside with Connecticut top chefs he was ready for his own restaurant. Favio realized his ambition to open his own restaurant and bring the wealth of experience to his own restaurant in Wallingford. He is proud to provide good food with joy and passion he has for cooking.
